BIOGRAPHY
born in the coastal town of Scarborough, Clive Owen Barry has lived all his adult life in and around the North east of England. Earlier years, saw his family immigrating to Ontario, Canada, where he was to share the first fourteen years of his life, educated in both countries, on both sides of the pond.
Later, he was to return to his original roots, where he now resides within the Northumberland countryside, with his wife, the two youngest children, and a couple of EXTREMELY yappy Yorkies.
His working life began as an apprentice carpenter to the once prospering British ship building industry, but he later became involved as a SUPERINTENDENT Consultant to the Petrochemical, and Marine side of things. Travelling the world, whilst Contracted to the major oil traders as their attending representative.
What he appears to have gleaned throughout that part of his long career, is a good insight into life from another man's perspective, and over those many years of travel, confesses to having had the great pleasure and privilege of meeting and working alongside so many wonderful individuals.
Writing and art have BEEN A WAY OF LIFE to him for over forty years. and now having stepped away from all previous industries, he finds himself in a position allowing himself the divulgance to write and draw that which he enjoys most.

TOGETHER WITH SHORT STORIES AND poetry SUBMITTED TO MAGAZINES, journals and anthologies, the majority of which now brought together in an anthology entitled ‘Invitation to a Nightmare’.
From an art perspective, I have been busy completeinhng numerous portrait undertaking for clients and now offer my services as a graphite artist

A violent and gritty adult novel, set in a rundown council estate, on the outskirts of a large coastal town.
Sally Oldham woke that morning badly battered and bruised on the hard bedroom floor, thinking life couldn't possibly get much worse, but she was so very wrong and the next few days were to prove that.
